Teenager arrested in Ryde in murder investigation

Isle of Wight Police have confirmed that a teenager has been arrested in connection with a murder investigation.

An 18-year-old woman from Billericay, one of six people arrested in the fatal shooting of Tamba Momodou, has been arrested at an address in St John’s Road, Ryde.

Mr Momodou, who was 20, was shot dead in a parking lot at Bridges Business Park in Horsehay, Telford.

A murder investigation has been opened and detectives say they have followed a number of investigative leads.

Chief Detective Inspector Mark Bellamy, who is leading the investigation for West Mercia Police, said: “Our thoughts remain with Tamba’s family at this time.

“I want to thank the public for their help with our investigations so far and continue to call anyone with information that can help us to let us know.

“If they don’t want to report this to the police, they can do so anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers.”

Detectives have previously requested images from the dash camera of a gray Skoda Karoq registered YB69 MUP.

Detective Bellamy’s Chief Inspector added: “If anyone has any dash cam footage of a gray Skoda Karoq or a vehicle that looks like between 11am and 11pm on Tuesday, June 22, I will tell him would ask to send it to us. ”
