Samsung launched the affordable Galaxy A23 smartphone in India in March. The South Korean tech giant plans to expand its affordable A-series with a new handset that will succeed the Samsung Galaxy A23. Some details about the next Samsung Galaxy A24 smartphone allegedly leaked online. The report did not mention the planned launch but did reveal some key specs. Currently, the base variant of the Galaxy A23 smartphone is available at Rs 17,499 on Samsung’s online store.
Samsung Galaxy A24 Expected Specs
According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy A24 is expected to sport a 6.24-inch AMOLED display that will support Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. For reference, the Samsung Galaxy A23 featured a TFT LCD display and offered similar refresh rates. The report doesn’t mention whether the display will include a teardrop notch or a punch-hole cutout to house the front camera.
The upcoming smartphone is expected to be powered by a three-year-old processor – the Exynos 7904 and is expected to pack 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Several RAM and storage variants of the Galaxy A24 handset are also expected to be available.
For photography, the Galaxy A24 can house a triple rear camera setup which will include – a 48MP main sensor with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5MP macro unit. The handset is likely to feature a 16MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.
Apart from this, the upcoming handset might also pack a 4000mAh battery which is expected to support 15W charging. For comparison, the Galaxy A23 is backed by a 5000mAh battery.
