Express press service

Fifteen years ago, when we saw the Canadian series Dogs with Jobs, we all let out a collective breath at the wonderful dogs, watching the jobs they could perform, from service to rescue and surveillance. Now pooches who have embraced social media, are mildly famous, or have made appearances on Instagram and TikTok, have a shot at becoming a pup influencer. Not only become more famous, but even earn $10,000 a year as an influencer. Yes, dogs can get social and for a paycheck.

Last week Yappy, a Manchester-based personalized online dog shop, announced that it was looking for its first-ever manager “Fluff”, a canine recruit who will become the “fluffy” face of the online shop. “If your dog has what it takes to become the ulti-mutt dog influencer, then all he has to do is set up his capture; their pup poses and plays with the portal’s range of personalized gifts and accessories while having fun creating incredible content filled with ‘furbulous’ vibes,” the portal’s job posting reads.

Yappy has strict hiring criteria, of course. The successful puppy will have to be natural in front of the camera, always happy to pose and be photographed and filmed while trying on the brand’s personalized gifts. A pup who is already famous and has thousands of followers would give him an edge over other suitors, the ad reads. If your pup is really amazing on Instagram and short videos on TikTok, that works even better.

The influencer pup’s responsibilities include being groomed and ready to go on camera flash. Showing off their sassy legs, tail wagging, tricks and expressions are a no-brainer. To get started, post a photo, reel or video of their pup on Instagram or TikTok and tag @yappy_com and tell them why.
they deserve to be hired, using #ChiefFluffOfficer on the position. The deadline to apply is November 18, and Yappy has already received 3,000 applications so far.

Fortunately, the work is remote. The successful candidate, however, may be required to travel to photo shoots for certain assignments upon request. The owner must be over 18 to apply for the role on behalf of their dog. The successful candidate will be compensated with a combination of Yappy products and/or paid assignments up to a value of $1,000 per month over 10 months. This amount will vary each month based on required content briefs and available new product launches. Everything is pawsible with a cute puppy face at your request.
