Police charge man after four people were assaulted in Redbank Plains overnight

Police charged a man with four counts of causing grievous bodily harm following a street disruption in Redbank Plains last night (October 15) which saw four people hospitalized with alleged injuries by White weapon.

At around 8:30 p.m., police were called to Wright Avenue following a street disruption in which three men, aged 24, 29 and 60, and a woman, aged 22, were injured.

They were all taken to hospital to treat non-life threatening injuries.

A 29-year-old man from Redbank Plains was arrested at the scene and denied bail by police. He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Monday 18 October.

The man also received a traffic violation notice for a driver in an accident who failed to meet his obligations after a vehicle he allegedly drove slid a car onto Wright’s side Street shortly before 8:30 p.m.

Investigations are continuing and detectives are asking anyone with a dash cam or relevant CCTV footage to contact them (details below).
