A semi-truck and trailer that overturned on Clifton Road Wednesday morning are under investigation, according to Kelowna RCMP.
Police said the crash happened just before 8:55 a.m. at the intersection of Clifton Road and High Road, resulting in a road closure.
Security and Commercial Vehicle Law Enforcement (CVSE) are also investigating, police said.

RCMP said witnesses reported that a white semi-truck and trailer were making a southbound turn on Clifton Road from High Road when it rolled onto its side.
The driver was not injured while a passenger was taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
“The collision scene was closed for several hours while investigators from the Kelowna RCMP and CVSE Municipal Traffic Services gathered evidence to help determine the cause of the collision,” said Const. Solana Paré,

“Our traffic investigators urge eyewitnesses to the accident, previous movements of the semi-trailer and trailer involved, or the operator’s driving behavior before the collision to report immediately and speak to the driver. police.”

The RCMP is also appealing to the public for images from on-board cameras that may have traveled on High Road and Glenmore Road in Kelowna at the time of the collision.
