OnePlus Nord 2T nickname confirmed, camera details leaked ahead of India launch

OnePlus Nord 2 debuted in India in June 2021 as the successor to the original Nord.

OnePlus Nord 2T spotted on TDRA website

The OnePlus Nord 2T was spotted on the TDRA website ahead of its launch. The device that will hit the market soon, according to the TDRA website, will carry the model number CPH2399 and will continue with the OnePlus Nord 2T moniker. The device has also been spotted on the GCF Global Certification website, indicating an imminent launch. Although the exact launch date is unknown, it is expected to officially launch in May 2022.

OnePlus Nord 2T camera specs leaked

Along with the confirmation of the moniker via official certification agency listings, the camera details of the OnePlus Nord 2T have also been leaked. The device was recently spotted on the Camera FV5 website which shed light on some of the camera specs.

The Nord 2T will come with a 50MP primary camera sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and 24.6mm focal length. The output images are 12.6MP, which means OnePlus will use pixel binning when delivering the final image. The camera system will be assisted by electronic image stabilization (EIS). This main camera unit will be accompanied by two other camera units and will include an 8MP ultra wide shooter and a 2MP depth sensor.

The front camera functions will be taken care of by a 32MP (f/2.4) shooter which will also be assisted by EIS and deliver images similar to 8MP.

OnePlus Nord 2T specs (expected)

The Nord 2T will sport a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that will refresh at 90Hz and be powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 1300 chipset. The device draws its juice from a 4,500mAh battery and supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. It will run on Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 out of the box. There will be a triple camera on the back as mentioned and a cutout for the front camera on the front.
