Husband and wife duo launch new show

BRITISH URBAN FILM FESTIVAL FOUNDER Emmanuel Anyiam-Osigwe has revealed some of the stellar names who will feature on a new Choice FM radio show which kicks off this week.

Announcing the news on Twitter, the former BUFF festival director said media diversity champion Marcus Ryder, writer, director and actor Adjani Salmon and actress Karen Bryson (currently appearing in “The Split” of BBC 1) will be the first guests.

Anyiam-Osigwe’s show, which he will co-host each week with his wife Clare, is called The Screenlately Show, in connection with his role as chief columnist at screenlately.com.

Today’s announcement means that readers of Anyiam-Osigwe’s regular column will now be able to hear his commentary on the film and television industry every Thursday. In addition to her film and TV resume, Clare Anyiam-Osigwe has a strong background in music and will showcase this when she presents in the second hour of the slot (The Other Half with The Other Half).

The show has also teamed up with UK streaming platform Bohemia Euphoria to present a weekly roundup of film reviews and interviews.

Anyiam-Osigwe said: “It’s been very surreal to join the team at Choice FM UK, a station that has been in my blood since I was young.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the UK’s most iconic media brands over the past 20 years and can’t wait for the public to join me on this new journey where Clare and I can talk for two hours every Thursday on the film and television industry with people from the film and television industry.

“We hope our passion for film, television and music will strengthen the station’s relationship with listeners and the industry at large.”

Clare Anyiam-Osigwe said: “I am thrilled to be hosting a new talk show centered around film and television.

“After two years away from our peers due to the pandemic, it’s amazing to reconnect with people doing great things in front of and behind the camera. To feel inspired and ready to listen, learn and laugh”.

The Screenlately Show begins broadcasting May 5 from 4-6 p.m. on Choice FM UK Radio (https://choicefmuk.co.uk).
