Hamilton Police call for witnesses, dash cam footage – aggravated robbery

Police investigating an aggravated robbery at Hamilton Bank yesterday are following strong lines of inquiry.

The aggravated robbery of security personnel who recovered cash from a Northgate bank was reported to police at 12.45pm yesterday.

Security personnel were confronted by three armed men, who stole a quantity of cash.

The offenders drove off in a light green/light gold Subaru station wagon, registration number KNR252 (pictured)

This vehicle was found abandoned in Pukete and police believe the attackers left the Pukete area in another vehicle.

The police have spoken to a number of witnesses, but we are aware that there may be others with information that we have not yet been able to speak to.

To aid in our investigations, we would like to hear from anyone who was at The Base Te Rapa shopping center between 12:20 p.m. and 12:50 p.m. (especially the red area highlighted in the attached image), and who witnessed the theft or may have -be seen the Subaru Break.

We also want to hear from anyone with dashcam footage of this area around this time, as well as anyone with dashcam footage from around Church Road/Ashurst Park (as shown in the blue area on the map) between 12:20 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. . August 22.
