The motorist’s dashcam captures the 55 speed limit on the freeway at the start of the clip.

They pass two other cars which are in the other lane and seem to be traveling much more slowly.

Visibility on the road seems very poor but the driver continues to drive in the left lane at high speed.

As they continue driving, the car disappears in a huge cloud of smoke caused by other skidding vehicles.

Eventually the dashcam shows that the driver can’t see anything in front of him because the visibility has gotten so bad.

But the motorist does not slow down and the dashcam captures him almost hitting other cars and a truck.

One person wrote: “Whenever you have a dramatic decrease in visibility you need to slow down!!!!”

Another person wrote: ‘Call me conservative but my first instinct would be to slow down if all of a sudden I had zero visibility.

Commentators agreed that the motorist was going too fast for the conditions and were shocked by the footage.
