Dash Cam Video Shows You What It Looks Like Inside A Semi Truck When A Pile Up Happens

A truck driver has reacted to the recent weather-related pileups by sharing a video showing how he managed to maneuver his vehicle through a pileup safely.

Owner-operator based in Pennsylvania Johnny Hrinda shared the dash cam video on March 29, along with a safe driving message. He says the video was captured March 28, 2022 on I-81 northbound at Mile 114 in Pennsylvania.

Hrinda said:

Yesterday morning was the start of a beautiful morning, sunny blue skies, I just finished delivering my load and heading back to Montgomery New York, so I decided to take highway 81 north, about 114 miles, I see a snow squall ahead of me about 1 mile away, if anyone has ever been through a snow squall, they know how dangerous it can be, so I start to slow down, less than 2 minutes later , it’s right above me my visibility went from 1 mile to about 500 feet in almost the blink of an eye, at that point my truck slowed to about 30 mph, and it’s only been getting worse, the visibility was next to zero, we’ve all seen those youtube videos of car and truck pile-ups, some of us have even seen the side effects, even a few of us have experienced it first hand and they are one of the most unpredictable and dangerous things to experience my dash cam video here you will have the rare opportunity to see what it looks like inside a semi truck going through one of these things as pi the up happens, in the end there were more 70 vehicles involved and several fatalities which is really sad about this a lot of things could have been avoided if people had done what I did and just slowed down because contrary to belief you can’t drive 60 miles per hour on snow whether or not you have a 4×4 hopefully my video will show people that by taking your time and slowing down you can avoid 99% of accidents
